A Family Legacy Reimagined:

Proprietor Bart’s journey in the world of winemaking began with his mother Jo and stepfather Carl, the original owners of Century Farm Winery. In the summer of 2017, Bart stepped into the role of proprietor, taking the reins of this cherished establishment. A true Renaissance figure, Bart’s talents encompass the roles of master winemaker, vineyard manager, and business strategist, making him an indispensable force behind the winery’s success. “I am a peasant of the land,” Bart humbly declares. This profound connection to the earth resonates through every aspect of his work, infusing each bottle with the authentic essence of the land.

Traminette – Bart’s Vinous Passion:

Among the diverse wines crafted at Century Farm Winery, Traminette holds a special place in Bart’s heart. A product of the French American hybrid Joannes Seyve and German Gewürztraminer, Traminette’s floral and spicy notes make it a true masterpiece. Traminette’s easy-sipping character makes it an ideal companion for pears, apples, nuts, cheeses, seafood, fish entrees, grilled pork tenderloins, and turkey breasts. Among the array of exceptional wines at Century Farm Winery, Neka’s heart resonates with Traminette. Crafted from the intricate cross of the French American hybrid Joannes Seyve and the German Gewürztraminer, Traminette’s distinct charm captured Neka’s palate. Its floral and spicy notes, balanced with a peppery finish, make it an exquisite choice. Neka pairs Traminette with her rosemary and onion-infused tenderloin, reveling in the harmony of flavors. Will – A Multifaceted Presence at Century Farm Winery | Summer Team Member

Meet Will, a dynamic and multifaceted presence at Century Farm Winery. Hailing as the son of proprietors Bart and Neka, Will has woven himself into the fabric of our winery since 2020, dedicating his summers, from May to August, to elevate your winery experience.

Within our estate’s picturesque grounds, Will plays a pivotal role in various capacities, showcasing his versatility and dedication. From nurturing the property’s natural beauty to curating unforgettable moments behind the tasting bar, his influence resonates throughout. Aptly describing his role, Will humorously quips, “I’m like a Swiss Army knife at the winery.”

Beyond his unwavering commitment to enhancing our winery, Will’s interests paint a vivid picture of his vibrant personality. With an affinity for Old School R&B melodies, he finds solace in the harmonious tunes, and Rod Wave takes the mantle as his favorite artist. The football fervor runs deep within him, as he cheers passionately for The Tennessee Vols and NFL Saints, infusing his spirited energy into the game.

Outside the winery’s ambiance, Will’s unique style takes center stage through his fascination with sneaker culture. A devoted collector, his prized possession is none other than the iconic Jordan 4’s, a testament to his appreciation for timeless aesthetics.

As the seasons change, so does Will’s journey. In the upcoming fall, he’ll embark on a new chapter at the University of Chattanooga, where he’ll immerse himself in the world of Business Studies. Will’s unwavering dedication, eclectic interests, and genuine charm make him an exceptional asset to the Century Farm Winery family, enriching your experience in every interaction.

Tom

Tom – Tasting Room Expert | Century Farm Winery

Embark on a sensory journey at Century Farm Winery with Tom, a seasoned member of our team whose expertise has been honed over his 13-year tenure at the winery, starting in August of 2010. Hailing from the enchanting landscapes of Scotland, Tom’s passion for wine and unwavering commitment makes him an integral part of our winery team.

A Renaissance of Tastes – The Norton Experience:

Tom’s palate finds solace in the embrace of Norton, a wine of historical significance that played a pivotal role in the late 1800s, saving the wine industry through grafting techniques. As the State Grape of Missouri, Norton stands as a symbol of American viticultural ingenuity. Comprising high acidity, light tannins, and balanced alcohol, Norton reveals layers of flavor, from youthful bursts of blackberries, black cherries, chocolate, and vanilla in younger vines, to the captivating earthiness and spiciness of older vines. Aged in American oak barrels, this distinguished wine boasts a hint of oak on the nose and palate. Tom’s roots stretch across continents, with two daughters residing in Scotland and Connecticut, respectively. He is the proud grandfather of a beloved granddaughter, and a brother to a sister who remains in Scotland keeps the tapestry of his heritage woven together.

Tesha – The Vineyard Virtuoso: Tesha’s journey at Century Farm Winery began in March 2023, and ever since, she has been the beating heart of our vineyard. With a keen eye for detail and a nurturing touch, Tesha tends to all the vineyard’s needs, ensuring each grape receives the utmost care. From the moment the vines bloom to the harvest of perfectly ripened grapes, Tesha’s hands are behind every step of the vineyard’s journey.

A Cherished Creation – Chambourcin: Among the array of exceptional wines produced at Century Farm Winery, Chambourcin holds a special place in Tesha’s heart. This medium-bodied American Hybrid captivates the senses with its soft cherry tone finish and enchanting aromas of red currant fruit. Aged for 10 months in American oak barrels, this wine reaches its peak of perfection. Pair Chambourcin with beef and mushrooms, pasta in tomato sauce, or a delicious pizza to elevate your dining experience.

Life’s Melody and Adventures: When Tesha isn’t cultivating the vineyards or crafting remarkable wines, she finds joy in the rhythm of country music, a perfect match for her love of the great outdoors. Accompanying her on adventures is her loyal canine companion, Hope, affectionately known as Hopi. Together, they explore the wonders of nature through hiking, camping, gardening, and fishing, embracing the beauty that surrounds them.

A Family of Love and Togetherness: Tesha’s world is filled with love and togetherness, as she cherishes the role of a mother to three lovely girls. Engaged and excited to embark on a new chapter of her life, Tesha finds harmony in the union of her family and her passion for winemaking.

Kelsey

Kelsey, Tasting Room Associate

Kelsey’s journey into the world of wine at Century Farm Winery started in May 2024.  Her enthusiasm, and smile are contagious, and make every visit to the tasting room a fun experience.

Favorite Wine at the Winery

When it comes to wine, Kelsey’s favorite is Velvet Rose. Its unique blend is not just a favorite for its taste but also for the memories it evokes.

A Memorable Wine Experience

One of Kelsey’s most memorable wine experiences happened right here at the winery, the very first time she visited with her family. “I came here with my mom and Popo Jon Po. The experience made me aware of the enjoyment and conversations that can be had about wine. Which intern made me want to come back and work here,” she recounted. It’s a testament to the special moments that make our winery a home away from home.

Hobbies and Interests

Outside of the winery, Kelsey has a passion for reading, especially sci-fi fantasy novels. Book give her an escape from the real world. And when she’s not diving into a good book, you’ll find her indulging in a seafood boil. “I can throw down on a crab leg,” Kelsey said.

Kelsey has a knack for sales, humorously describing herself as an “Eskimo Saleswoman” Her persuasive charm and enthusiasm are just some of the qualities that make her a standout team member here at the winery.

Fun Facts

Did you know that Kelsey can eat like a horse? Her words not ours. Her hearty appetite is legendary. And let’s not forget to mention Obie, her lively dog who keeps her on her toes.

Hailing from the cheese capital of the world, Wisconsin, Jenni’s  extensive background in customer service  seamlessly blend with her passion for wine.

From engaging with guests and sharing her wine knowledge to ensuring everyone leaves with a smile, Jenni is our wine whisperer. She thrives on connecting with visitors, learning about their journeys, and sharing the stories behind our beloved wines.

When she’s not creating magical experiences at the winery, Jenni loves camping and cheering on her children in their sport endeavors. Which range from trap shooting, cheerleading, track, to basketball. She is a true bookworm, and enjoys delving into fiction and autobiographies, when she not  taking care of the family’s chickens.

For Jenni, it’s all about the people. She loves meeting new guests, learning about their lives, and sharing the winery’s story. The sense of community and the joy of creating unforgettable experiences make her role incredibly fulfilling.

Hannah

Meet Hannah – Tasting Room Associate

Hannah joined Century Farm Winery in November 2024, bringing her love for connecting with people from all walks of life. She enjoys meeting guests from near and far, making them feel at home while they sip and explore our wines.

A Passion for People & Atmosphere

The warm, welcoming environment of Century Farm Winery is what first drew Hannah in—both as a guest and now as part of the team. She fondly remembers celebrating her 21st birthday at the winery and knew it was a special place. Now, she gets to be a part of creating memorable experiences for others, whether through tastings, conversations, or special events.

Favorites & Fun at the Winery

Hannah’s go-to Century Farm wine is Sugar Plum, a sweet and flavorful sip with a slow burn that enhances its rich taste. She thrives on building relationships with customers, enjoying moments when familiar faces return and pick up conversations where they left off. Some of her favorite times at the winery are during events, where the team bonds while creating an unforgettable experience for guests.

Creativity & Looking Ahead

Outside of work, Hannah is a talented artist, often crafting unique decorations—including pieces made from winery corks! She’s excited about the winery’s continued growth, especially with the new tasting room opening up more opportunities. Looking ahead, she hopes to deepen her knowledge of wine, from grape varieties to the winemaking process, so she can continue providing the best experience for guests.

Dawn

Dawn: Events Coordinator

Dawn spent decades helping people feel confident and cared for, serving as a BeautiControl consultant for 21 years before the company closed in 2017. That same year, she faced a breast cancer diagnosis and met it with grit and grace. She brings that same steady spirit into everything she does today.
A proud Nana to two talented granddaughters and an avid Memphis Tigers football fan, Dawn fills her spare time with cooking, baking, and creating comfort for the people around her. Her life shifted in December 2020 when she lost her husband to COVID, and her strength since then reflects a heart that refuses to quit. Dawn leads with kindness, resilience, and a deep commitment to making life a little brighter for others.
